Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 September 2026
These Terms are a legal agreement between you and ByteBourne, operated by Abhishek Wadhawan, an individual based in India, at S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), Punjab 140301, India ("ByteBourne", "we", "us"). They apply to bytebourne.com and every ByteBourne website, app, and service (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. What ByteBourne is
ByteBourne is a platform for software developers to build developer tools, write articles, record videos and courses, and send newsletters, with AI features built in. Everything creators publish on ByteBourne is free for other users to view and use. ByteBourne doesn't sell creators' work or take a share of anything creators earn elsewhere.
2. Who can use ByteBourne
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law. By using the Service you confirm that you are.
3. Your account
- You can sign in with GitHub or with an email and password.
- Keep your login details secure. You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- One person, one account. Don't share accounts or create accounts to get extra free credits.
- Tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
4. Your content
"Your content" means anything you create, upload, or publish on ByteBourne: code, tools, articles, videos, courses, newsletters, comments, and profile information.
- You own your content. We don't claim ownership of it.
- You give us a licence to run the Service. You grant ByteBourne a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, display, run (for example, in the in-browser sandbox), format, and distribute your content, and to show it in previews and in promotion of ByteBourne, for as long as it's on the Service. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other users have already legitimately downloaded, and backups we keep for a limited time.
- Published content is public. Anything you publish can be seen and used by anyone. Don't publish anything you want to keep private, and never publish passwords, API keys, or other secrets.
- You're responsible for your content. You confirm you have the rights to everything you publish, and that it doesn't break any law or anyone else's rights (including copyright, trademarks, and privacy).
- Open-source code. If your content includes code from others, follow their licences.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use ByteBourne to:
- Publish or run malware, crypto-miners, phishing pages, or code designed to harm, spy on, or break into computers or accounts.
- Infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights, or publish someone else's work as your own.
- Publish content that is illegal in India, sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or that promotes violence or self-harm.
- Share anyone's personal data without their permission.
- Send spam, including through the newsletter tools. Only email people who have agreed to hear from you.
- Abuse AI credits, sign-up bonuses, or free limits (for example, with multiple accounts or automated sign-ups).
- Scrape the Service, overload it, probe or test its security without our written permission, or get around rate limits or other protections.
- Use the sandbox or AI features to attack other systems or run anything unrelated to building and demonstrating software.
- Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your connection with them.
We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules (see section 11).
6. AI features
- Some features use AI models from third-party AI providers. When you use them, the relevant input is sent to the provider to generate a response.
- AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or insecure. Review everything before you rely on it, publish it, or run it. You're responsible for how you use AI output.
- Don't put anyone else's personal data or confidential information into AI features unless you're allowed to.
- We don't use your content to train our own AI models.
7. AI credits
- AI features use AI credits. Every account gets a monthly allowance (currently 50 credits). It refills each month and unused allowance doesn't carry over.
- You can buy extra credits ("top-up credits"). Top-up credits don't expire while your account is open, and they're used only after your monthly allowance runs out.
- Credits have no cash value. They can't be transferred to another account, sold, or exchanged for money, except as described in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
- The number of credits each feature uses is shown in the product and may change. We'll never change the cost of a feature while an action you started is running.
8. Pro pass
- Pro is a prepaid pass that gives a larger monthly allowance (currently 300 credits a month) for a fixed period: 30 days or 365 days. Every feature works the same on Free and Pro.
- Pro is a one-time payment. It does not renew automatically, and we never charge you again without you choosing to buy. We'll email you before your pass ends.
- If you buy Pro while a pass is still active, the new days are added to the end of your current pass.
- When a pass ends, your account moves to the Free plan. Your content and any top-up credits stay with you.
9. Prices and payments
- Current prices are on our Pricing page. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR).
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. ByteBourne never sees or stores your full card number, UPI PIN, or banking password.
- We may change prices for future purchases. A price change never affects something you've already paid for.
- Credits and Pro are delivered to your account instantly after payment (see our Shipping & Delivery Policy).
- Refunds are covered by our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
10. Reporting content and grievances
If you see content on ByteBourne that you think is illegal, infringes your rights, or breaks these Terms, or you have any complaint about the Service, contact our Grievance Officer:
- Name: Abhishek Wadhawan, Founder
- Email: [email protected]
- Address: S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), Punjab 140301, India
We'll acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days. Where the law requires us to act faster (for example, on court or government orders), we will.
11. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using ByteBourne and delete your account at any time from Settings.
- We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close an account if it breaks these Terms or the law, puts other users or the Service at risk, or if we're required to by law. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
- If we close your account because you broke these Terms, unused credits and any remaining Pro time are forfeited. If we close the Service entirely, or close your account for any other reason, we'll refund unused top-up credits and the unused part of any Pro pass.
- If you delete your own account, unused credits and Pro time are forfeited. Download anything you want to keep first.
12. Third-party services
The Service connects to other services, such as GitHub, LinkedIn, X, Dev.to, and Razorpay. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, and we're not responsible for them.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it running and secure, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. Content published by other users is theirs, not ours, and we don't guarantee it's accurate, safe, or fit for use. Check code before running it.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- ByteBourne isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data, or lost business opportunities.
- Our total liability to you for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid ByteBourne in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is higher.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that can't legally be limited, or your rights as a consumer under Indian law.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute comes up, please contact us first; most issues can be resolved quickly. If we can't resolve it, the courts at S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, India will have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to approach a consumer commission.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as ByteBourne grows. If we make a material change, we'll tell you by email or in the product at least 7 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new Terms.
